The anatomy of “his” psychology… a make believe monologue.
She had quite a temper. Always blamed it on her cycles, but then it became more frequent. With her, mood swings are an understatement. Hers were more like mood coasters, one had to be an adrenalin junkie to survive it.
She was afraid of a lot of things. Harmless insects, dancing in public (even in front of me and with me). Hers was a life of full control. No one was made to change her outlook.
She never lets her hair down, embrace the breeze of late-day bike ride, jump off a seaside cliff. She never fails to brush her teeth even when overly drunk, wash her face even when bemusedly drowsy. She plans out her outfit for the weekend… on a Monday.
She always had a plan.
She was never anything like me.
Carefree.
Care… less.
Living for the moment.
She was never anything like me.
Essentially,
She irritates me.
I’ve counted down the reasons why.
But, I’m still here, basking at her imperfections. Embracing our differences. Convincing her to let go of her fears, feeding her mortality with nothing but selfless praise, thanksgiving, and love.
Yes, love.
I love her.
I don’t know why.
Maybe because she irritates me so.
